Nemat Ahmadi, Lawyer and Legal Expert: Restrictions on Liking and Disliking National Figures Are Also Criminal

Nemat Ahmadi, a lawyer and attorney, says restrictions on liking and disliking the country’s leaders are also criminal.

Nemat Ahmadi, a lawyer and attorney, stated that since all the country’s leaders today have a channel or account on social media, it means they are criminals. He told Khabar Online news agency.

First, a matter must be defined as a crime in the law; therefore, stating such issues has neither a religious nor a civil aspect and is not in line with people’s freedoms. It’s just an unprofessional opinion.

If these matters are enforced in some courts, one must seek refuge in God, because the most important principle in law is the principle of legality of crime and punishment, meaning first the legislator must define the crime and then define the punishment for it.
