Benjamin Netanyahu, in a statement to Israeli citizens, said that today I stand before you to announce that Sinwar has been killed.

Netanyahu addressed the people of Gaza, saying Sinwar destroyed your lives and now that he is dead, he will no longer control this land. He described this as an opportunity for the people of Gaza to free themselves from their own oppression.

Benjamin Netanyahu said the task ahead of us is not yet complete because Israel will continue its fight until the hostages return home.
