New Conditions for Quota Currency Sales with National ID Card

Applicants wishing to purchase currency with a national ID card must open a foreign currency account, as from now on, the quota currency will be deposited into the buyers’ foreign currency accounts.

It is noteworthy that applicants for purchasing quota currency must deposit the equivalent of 100 dollars in Rials into their account to open a foreign currency account. Moreover, withdrawing dollar bills from the foreign currency account is possible five working days after the purchase and deposit of the currency.

The withdrawal fee from the account in cash is equivalent to 5 percent of the Rial equivalent of the withdrawal amount. The exchange rate will be equal to the sales rate of the dollar and euro bills in the electronic currency trading system plus one percent on the day of withdrawal.
