New York Visa in a Cloud of Uncertainty: Tehran Still Waiting for Washington’s Decision
The political deputy of the President announced that it is still unclear how many visas the United States will issue for members of the Iranian presidential delegation to travel to New York. At the same time, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that, as of today, there is no new information regarding the issuance of visas for the Iranian delegation. Previously, presidential officials had reported that the United States had imposed restrictions and conditions for the presence of the Iranian delegation at the United Nations General Assembly. The final composition of the President’s accompanying delegation for the trip to New York will depend on the number of visas issued by the United States.
