Ettelaat Newspaper: Organizations are not providing land; the promise of 4 million homes remains unfulfilled
A year after Raisi’s government took office, if not one million, at least close to one million homes should have been built for the government to fulfill its housing construction promise. However, no specific statistics have been released on the extent of the government’s promise being fulfilled so far.
Regarding this, Ettelaat Newspaper wrote that a look at the performance of the thirteenth government over the past year shows that in many instances, final decisions by some agencies to address issues in their specialized fields have clashed with the interests of other agencies, leading to delays in implementing the mentioned resolutions.
The newspaper added that the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development has relied heavily on using lands belonging to other governmental agencies over the past year to fulfill the president’s electoral promise of building 4 million housing units. They have even obtained the president’s order for transferring government lands to the National Housing Movement plan.
Ettelaat further added that there is still strong resistance from the ministries in allocating lands, and the plan has failed to achieve its goals.
