Nika Shakarami's Sister: No One Was Tried for Nika's Murder

Nika Shakarami’s sister says no one was prosecuted for Nika’s murder

Aida Shakarami, the sister of Nika Shakarami, a teenager killed during the protests in Iran, wrote on her Instagram that six months have passed since Nika’s murder, and not only has no one been prosecuted for her killing, but even her personal belongings like her mobile phone and computer have not been returned to us.

She added that during this time, instead of being the voice of my mother and Nika’s wishes, some people from near and far have been busy exploiting Nika’s blood for their own gain.

She further added that these individuals have started baseless accusations against her, which she was shocked to hear. She did not mention these accusations but added that she has become stronger than before, is in perfect physical and mental health, and does not need a lawyer or guardian.

She also asked people to only think about the goals of Nika and hundreds of other Nikas, which are encapsulated in the word freedom, and to take action.
