Gholamreza Nouri Qazaljeh, a member of parliament, told Entekhab that the disregard for social phenomena is because some have concluded that they do not need society’s opinion and their work progresses regardless.
He further explained about seeking parliament’s opinion on the return of the morality police, stating that the parliament’s opinion is reflected in the laws, and no specific opinion was sought from the parliament floor. Perhaps they asked the Speaker of the Parliament or the committees, but the parliament floor was not consulted. The matter of the hijab bill is still being reviewed.
He concluded by saying that society has become more distrustful, with only 40 percent participation occurring. Distrust is not limited to the hijab issue; wherever distrust forms and public opinions are increasingly ignored, a deep rift naturally forms between decision-makers and the public, severely undermining trust, which is difficult to restore.
