Nouvelle-Louchato Municipality Covers Khomeini's Image Due to Ongoing Protests in Iran

The municipality of Neauphle-le-Château covered Khomeini’s image; the reason for this action is the ongoing protests in Iran.

According to news reports, the municipality of Neauphle-le-Château, the residence of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the former leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran in France, has decided to cover the portrait of him at his temporary residence in this town.

Mr. Khomeini moved to this location from Iraq before the 1979 revolution, and it was from there that he came to Iran to seize power.

This portrait was installed in front of a private villa for this very occasion.

According to the French TV channel BFM TV, this decision was made at the request of the International Women’s Union, representing a group of 40 non-governmental organizations.

These organizations requested the covering of this portrait based on the tragic events currently occurring in Iran.
