Abdullah Abdullah’s Nowruz Greetings
Abdullah Abdullah, the former chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation of Afghanistan, who resides in Kabul, extended his greetings for Nowruz to the nations of the shared cultural domain in a message.
In this message, he wrote that the ancient Nowruz, intertwined with the resurrection of nature and rooted in the deep history and long-standing culture of this region, is filled with symbols and signs of life, growth, and fertility.
Mr. Abdullah added that Nowruz and the year 1402 arrive at a time when, with pain and regret, millions of our compatriots are suffering from poverty, hunger, unemployment, and displacement. He called on the international community to continue helping the people of Afghanistan.
