Nuclear Experts: US Attacks Destroyed or Disabled 22,000 Iranian Centrifuges

Nuclear experts say U.S. attacks have destroyed or disabled 22,000 of Iran’s centrifuges.

The damage to the Islamic Republic’s enrichment sites has been very severe, and rebuilding them will likely take years.

A group of the world’s most prominent nuclear experts announced in a report published on Tuesday, September 9, that the Islamic Republic no longer has a recognizable path to produce weapons-grade enriched uranium.

This assessment is the result of U.S. airstrikes known as Operation Midnight Hammer in the final days of the 12-day war between Israel and the Islamic Republic, targeting the main enrichment facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

According to this report and experts, nearly 22,000 active centrifuges of the Islamic Republic have either been destroyed or rendered inoperative.
