Oil price advances above $90
According to Reuters, the diminished hope for successful negotiations between Hamas and Israel and the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza, along with concerns about ongoing conflicts and potential disruptions in the oil-producing region of the Middle East, led to an increase in oil prices.
On Tuesday, by 6:10 GMT, the price of Brent crude oil futures from the North Sea rose by 14 cents, reaching $90.52 per barrel.
Meanwhile, the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil from the U.S. also increased by 10 cents on Tuesday, trading at $86.53 per barrel.
