Oman’s Foreign Minister: Iran can play an effective role in the Gaza ceasefire

The Omani Foreign Minister emphasized that Iran, being an important part of the region, can play an effective role in establishing a ceasefire in Gaza.

Badr Al-Busaidi, the Omani Foreign Minister, stated that Hamas should be part of any solution in Palestine and expressed belief in a strong connection between tensions in the Red Sea and Israeli aggressions on the Gaza Strip. He said halting the war would lead to the restoration of maritime security in the Red Sea.

In an interview with the American network CNN, he stressed that holding an international peace conference in the Middle East, which would result in a ceasefire and subsequently achieve a two-state solution in Palestine, is important and necessary.

Al-Busaidi noted that the United States can play a role in the ceasefire and the convening of the international peace conference.

In another part of his remarks, the Omani Foreign Minister said that Iran is an important part of the region and can play an effective role in the ceasefire in Gaza and establishing peace in the region.
