The Iranian Statistics Center announced that the average price of one square meter of housing in Tehran for January 2023 was 54 million and 963 thousand tomans. This figure is 45 million tomans higher than the housing price in December of this year.

According to this report, the monthly housing inflation in January reached nearly 10 percent, 9.8 percent, a large figure that is close to five times the critical inflation rate. According to the definitions of the Statistics Center, a monthly inflation rate of 2.5 percent signifies critical inflation.

This figure is the highest monthly housing inflation rate in the capital over the past decade.

This report also announced that the point-to-point housing inflation rate in January was 66 percent.

The highest point-to-point housing inflation rate in the past two years was recorded in April 2021, with a figure of 82.6 percent.
