Order for Strict Control of Hijab in Public Places
According to an image circulated on social media, the Deputy Supervision of Public Places in Greater Tehran has sent a new directive to the Tehran Chamber of Guilds, requesting increased monitoring and control of business venues in the implementation of the Hijab and Modesty Plan.
This directive calls for identifying venues with the highest violation in terms of unveiling for what has been described as legal action.
Opposition to mandatory hijab intensified after the death of Mahsa Amini in the custody of the morality police, and many girls and women in Iran removed their hijabs.
