The acting head of the Veterinary Department of Mazandaran stated that the Crimean-Congo fever has broken out in Mazandaran.

The Mazandaran Veterinary Department mentioned that livestock in the western cities of the province, due to their proximity to Gilan, Alamut, Qazvin, Tehran, and Karaj, are more at risk of contracting this disease than other cities in the province. He added that currently, the outbreak of Crimean-Congo fever has been identified in some parts of the province, especially in the counties of Nowshahr, Chalous, Kojour, and Kelardasht.
