Pakistan’s Foreign Minister: We have no desire to escalate tensions with Iran

Jalil Abbas Jilani, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, has stated that his country has no desire to escalate tensions with Iran.

Mr. Jilani has said that the cross-border airstrikes on Thursday, January 18th, targeting what were called terrorist camps in southeastern Iran, were carried out.

Pakistan’s attacks on border villages in the Sistan and Baluchestan province took place after Iran carried out a similar attack on Pakistani soil on Tuesday, January 16th.
