Mohsin Naqvi, the Interior Minister of Pakistan, referring to his numerous trips to Iran, said many believe that a country that has been under sanctions for years and involved in security tensions should be facing widespread shortages. However, a large portion of the necessary products are produced domestically in Iran. He said he returned with astonishment after observing Iran’s conditions and emphasized that Pakistan should also move towards increasing domestic production and reducing foreign dependency.
