Palestinian photographer wins the best photo of the year award from the World Press Photo Foundation

Mohammed Salem, a photographer for Reuters, won the 2024 World Press Photo of the Year award for this photo taken on October 17, 2023, at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
