A member of parliament stated that frequent power outages have posed serious challenges to industries.
The head of the Parliament’s Urban Development Commission criticized the frequent power outages affecting industries to compensate for electricity imbalances and called on the Minister of Energy to fulfill his promises made during the vote of confidence and to find measures to prevent harm to industries.
Mohammad Reza Rezaei Koocheh, in an interview with the reporter from the House of Nation News Agency, criticized the Ministry of Energy’s performance regarding power cuts in industries. He said that with the onset of summer and the increase in peak electricity consumption, a wave of concern and anxiety arises among people, economic and industrial activists about power cuts to compensate for imbalances.
This member of parliament emphasized that power outages in the industrial sector have increased the cost of their products, and ultimately all people will bear the damage. This has happened in past years with building materials such as cement and steel. Therefore, in a year named for a production leap with public participation, we must not allow frequent power outages in industries to harm the country’s production.
The head of the Parliament’s Urban Development Commission reiterated the request to the Minister of Energy to have precise planning to compensate for their imbalances so that industries do not face challenges.
