Parliament Member: New Immigration Law is a Tool for Exploiting Iranian Girls

The new immigration law is a tool for exploiting Iranian girls, says a member of parliament

Abolfazl Abutorabi, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, pointed out that the new immigration laws in the Islamic Republic, which were passed in 2019, lead to the targeting and exploitation of young Iranian women and girls, especially in border areas.

He stated that since the law mentions marriage with an Iranian national woman, foreign nationals can exploit these girls and enter into temporary marriages with them to obtain citizenship.
