Parliament Member: The Main Food of Most People in Sistan and Baluchestan is Bread and Tomato Paste

The main food for most people in Sistan and Baluchestan is bread and tomato paste.

One of the representatives of Sistan and Baluchestan in the parliament mentioned the increase in poverty in this region, saying that most residents of this province cannot afford to consume other food items besides bread.

Mohammad Sargazi, the representative of Zabol, Zahak, Nimruz, Hamun, and Hirmand in the parliament, told ILNA news agency on Wednesday, April 5, that the per capita flour for the people of the province is nearly 8 kilograms. However, considering that about 700,000 Afghan nationals in the province also use this flour, this amount reaches 65 kilograms.

With a population of 4 million, including 700,000 Afghan citizens, Sistan and Baluchestan is the poorest province in Iran.
