Passenger train derails in Hashtgerd

The governor of Alborz announced on Friday, December 4th, that a passenger train derailed near Hashtgerd station.

Mohammad Reza Falahnejad, the head of the provincial crisis management, stated that this train, which was coming from Mianeh to Tehran, met with an accident as it was approaching the station at low speed.

He explained that the train’s diesel engine had gone off the rails, but technical teams managed to put it back on track, emphasizing that no harm came to the passengers.

The passengers of this train continued their journey with another train, and some were transferred to Tehran by buses.
