The Pentagon: Iran has still retained some of its military capabilities
A senior U.S. military official announced that despite nearly three weeks passing since the conflicts, Iran still has the capacity to carry out attacks in the region, although Washington continues its operations against these capabilities.
General Dan Keane, during a press briefing at the Pentagon attended by Pete Hegseth, assessed Iran’s military capabilities under the current circumstances. In response to a question about the possibility of continued Iranian attacks on energy infrastructure across the Persian Gulf, he said that Tehran entered the conflict with a large number of weapons, a factor he cited as the reason for the United States’ aggressive and decisive approach.
The military official added that American forces continue their operations to counter these capabilities and emphasized that Washington will continue to hunt down and eliminate them.
However, Keane clarified that despite these actions, Iran has still retained some of its military capabilities to a certain extent.
