Pentagon spokesman: Leaked documents harm national security

The U.S. Department of Defense, along with the country’s intelligence agencies, is investigating how dozens of classified military documents about the Ukraine war were leaked.

According to Chris Meagher, one of the Pentagon’s spokespersons, the leak of these documents poses a serious threat to U.S. national security and could potentially aid in the spread of misinformation.

Mr. Meagher said we are still investigating how this information was leaked and its extent.

Mr. Meagher did not comment on the authenticity of the published documents but said some of these documents were altered before being released.

The release of a set of classified U.S. Department of Defense documents has led the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate the matter.

The leaked documents related to the Ukraine war contain U.S. military information about its allies and China.
