People's Table in 19 Provinces Shrunk

The people’s table in 19 provinces has become smaller.

The Ministry of Welfare says the inflation rate in Iran’s economy is much higher than its long-term trends, and the economy is in an unstable situation.

After presenting the consumer price index for the month of Bahman, the Statistics Center also released inflation figures by province yesterday.

In these statistics, it is stated that in the month of Bahman 1401, the consumer price index for households in the country reached the number 608, but in food items, the price index has increased to 909.

On the other hand, the rising housing prices have created difficult conditions for both rich and poor deciles, although the pressure of price increases in the housing sector has been greater for the poor according to statistics. For example, the share of housing in the monthly inflation of the first decile was 0.63 percent, but for the tenth decile, this number was 0.4. Meanwhile, the monthly inflation for Bahman for all deciles in the housing sector is about 0.5 percent.
