The scene where the character Arman Bayani in the Tehran Viper series confronts his school supervisor has sparked many reactions and led to the Minister of Education filing a complaint against the creators of this series, calling this scene an insult to the teaching profession.
In this scene from the Tehran Viper series, the assistant principal of a boys’ school repeatedly physically punishes a student for various reasons, and when this student grows up, Peyman Maadi picks up this retired supervisor in a car and threatens him with revenge.
On his Instagram account, Peyman Maadi described the school supervisor character in this series as a fictional character that, like the other main characters of the series, does not represent the members of his profession with all their strengths and weaknesses.
This actor and screenwriter also stated that the creators of this series share a belief aligned with the education and training enthusiasts in valuing and emphasizing the proper upbringing of a society’s children.
Peyman Maadi, by sharing a picture of his teachers, asked the audience of the Tehran Viper series to appreciate their favorite teachers by sharing their pictures and names, and requested teachers and educational system officials to follow the series to the end.
