Pezeshkian said that before the revolution, female students were without hijab but had character.
Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the Islamic Republic government, said on Friday, November 21st, at the planning and development council meeting of Qazvin province, that before the revolution, in universities, some girls did not wear hijab but were very dignified, and their behavior and attire were such that no one had the right to disrespect them.
These remarks are made while, according to some witnesses, Pezeshkian was among the forces enforcing compulsory hijab in the early years of the revolution.
