Pezeshkian: If a protest is approved by the authorities, then it's not a protest

Pezeshkian: If a protest is approved by the government, then it’s not a protest.

Pezeshkian, a member of parliament, said that if a protest is approved by the government, then it’s not a protest. A protest means someone who disagrees with something comes forward to express their dissent. At the beginning of the revolution, we did not allow just anyone with a protest to come forward and express it.

Today, various groups have protests, and we have not allowed protests, which has turned these protests into outcries. Unfortunately, many laws have not been implemented, or no law has been established to let people protest, and we tell this to every government.

Regarding Article 15 of the constitution, when we insist, they say you are Pan-Turkist or Pan-Kurdist. If the constitution has a problem, we should amend it. The law even says you can only hold detainees for 24 hours; more than that is a crime. But when you protest, you get arrested, and when we protest somewhere, they label people. All these events give excuses to the enemies and allow them to exploit the situation.
