Pezeshkian: If Security Conditions Were Met, We Would Move the Capital to the Southern Coasts Today

Pezeshkian said if the security conditions were met, we would move the capital to the southern coasts today.

Masoud Pezeshkian, in a meeting with the Minister and directors of Roads and Urban Development, stated that transferring the capital to the southern coasts poses no security risks. He said if we had the necessary resources, we would undertake this action today.

The President of the Islamic Republic emphasized that we should develop the large cities in the south of the country. He said that currently, our large cities like Tehran, Isfahan, and Shiraz are facing water crises and land subsidence, and the development of these cities has reached an impasse. It is necessary to develop the south of the country and its coasts.
