Pezeshkian: JCPOA negotiations continue
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic, after returning from New York and attending the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, spoke with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran on Thursday, September 27th, and elaborated on the details of his trip and the negotiations conducted.
He emphasized that Iran has tried in this meeting to convey its concerns and issues regarding nuclear matters and the JCPOA to European countries. In this regard, Masoud Pezeshkian announced that in recent negotiations with neighboring countries, discussions about the JCPOA were held, and it was explicitly stated that it was Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, who tore up the JCPOA, not Iran, a point that was also accepted by European countries.
Pezeshkian also stated that the foreign ministers are set to follow the negotiation process more seriously so that they can develop regional cooperation in various fields, including economic, security, political, and cultural areas.
