Pezeshkian: JCPOA negotiations continue
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic, after returning from New York and participating in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, spoke with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran on Thursday, October 5th, and elaborated on the details of his trip and the negotiations conducted.
He emphasized that Iran, in this session, has tried to convey its concerns and issues regarding nuclear matters and the JCPOA to the European countries. In this regard, Masoud Pezeshkian announced that in recent negotiations with neighboring countries, discussions about the JCPOA were held, and it was clearly stated that it was Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, who tore up the JCPOA, not Iran, a point that was also accepted by the European countries.
Pezeshkian also mentioned that the foreign ministers are supposed to pursue the negotiations more seriously so that they can expand regional cooperation in various fields including economic, security, political, and cultural areas.
