Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, emphasized the necessity of drafting a comprehensive strategic cooperation program between the two countries in a joint meeting of high-ranking delegations from Iran and Iraq, considering it as the roadmap for the development of Tehran-Baghdad relations.
He stated that the development of relations between the two countries hinges on the rapid implementation of agreements to expand economic and infrastructural cooperation and strengthen security interactions.
Pezeshkian also emphasized the security linkage between Iran and Iraq, saying that the security of the two countries is intertwined, and the mutual will of Tehran and Baghdad is to turn agreements into practical achievements for both nations.
