Pezeshkian: The implementation of joint projects between Iran and Russia should not face delays

Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, in a meeting with Sergey Tsivilev, the Russian Minister of Energy, emphasized the need to accelerate the implementation of strategic agreements between Tehran and Moscow and stated that these agreements should move from the discussion phase to the operational phase as quickly as possible.

He pointed out the potential for cooperation in the fields of energy, oil, gas, petrochemicals, industry, trade of essential goods, and the development of transit corridors, saying that given the will of both countries to expand relations, it is not appropriate for the implementation of joint projects to encounter delays.

Pezeshkian also announced Iran’s readiness to remove obstacles in the way of joint projects and called for greater use of the capacities of BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union, and cooperation among the Caspian Sea littoral states.
