Pezeshkian’s Defense of Proposed Ministers: The List of Ministers is Based on Synergy Between the Government and Parliament
Despite widespread criticism of the proposed ministers, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, has once again defended his submitted list to Parliament, stating that the list of proposed ministers is prepared based on a strategy to strengthen synergy between the government and Parliament.
Since the day Mr. Pezeshkian introduced his proposed cabinet to Parliament for a vote of confidence, there has been extensive criticism of this list among political activists and the community, and some of Mr. Pezeshkian’s supporters have openly taken a stance against it. Mohammad Javad Zarif, one of the closest individuals to Mr. Pezeshkian, also resigned from his position as the Strategic Deputy of the President shortly after his appointment.
According to ISNA news agency, Mr. Pezeshkian said last night in a meeting with the members of the Parliament’s Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources, and Environment Commission that in the fourteenth government, there is no greater betrayal than entrusting work to incompetent individuals, and in this government, anyone who can take a step towards solving the country’s problems and improving the situation of the people will be warmly welcomed.
