Pezhman Bazghi, the Actors’ Association, has requested stun guns and pepper spray for the security of its members.
Pezhman Bazghi, a film and television actor and the president of the Film Actors’ Guild, said in an interview with Aftab News on Friday, November 7th, that the association has requested defensive tools such as stun guns and pepper spray to ensure the security of actors.
He explained that in recent weeks, several members have expressed concerns about security threats and feelings of insecurity, especially in areas around Tehran such as Shahriar, Damavand, and Jajrood, and some of them have requested defensive tools for keeping in their cars or homes.
According to Bazghi, some opportunists have been exploiting this situation by offering stun guns and pepper spray to actors at exorbitant prices, ranging from 30 to 40 million tomans.
The president of the association added that to prevent fraud and ensure safe and legal access, they decided to provide these items to members under the supervision of a specified individual and at a price of approximately 7 million tomans.
Bazghi emphasized that the association’s goal is to provide professional services and peace of mind for its members, and this action is similar to services some other guilds provide to ensure the job security of their members.
