Telephone Conversation Between Pezeshkian and Prince Mohammed bin Salman
On Sunday, November 11, Masoud Pezeshkian had a telephone conversation with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. In this call, Pezeshkian cited his busy schedule as the reason for not attending the special summit of Islamic countries’ leaders and mentioned that Mohammad Reza Aref, the First Vice President, would attend the summit.
According to the government news agency’s report, Pezeshkian expressed hope for the deepening and expansion of relations between the two countries and stated, ‘I have no doubt that this summit, with your excellency’s wisdom, will have effective and tangible results in halting the crimes of Israel and the war and bloodshed in Gaza and Lebanon.’
The Saudi Crown Prince also expressed hope for elevating the relations between the two countries to the highest levels and said, ‘We fully understand your situation and appreciate the opportunity for your First Vice President to be present in Riyadh.’
