Plane Carrying Israeli Students Makes Emergency Landing in Turkey

The plane carrying Israeli students made an emergency landing in Turkey

The Israeli Ministry of Education announced that a plane carrying 150 Israeli students, who were on an educational trip to Poland, made an emergency landing in the city of Antalya, Turkey, on Monday.

This landing was carried out according to aviation protocols following concerns about a technical fault.

According to N12 network, the cause of this fault was a bird entering the aircraft’s engine during flight.

These students were traveling from Ein Kerem High School in Jerusalem to Poland.

As usual, Shin Bet security forces were also accompanying this student delegation.

The Israeli Ministry of Education announced that it is in constant contact with security and educational officials, and necessary coordination has been made with school administrators and parents.

It has also been confirmed that all students are in perfect health and are under the supervision of their teachers in a safe area at the airport.

According to officials, a replacement plane has been dispatched to Antalya, and it is expected that the students will fly to their destination in Krakow by 3 PM local time to continue their educational program.
