Point-to-Point Food Inflation Rate Increased

The point-to-point inflation rate for food items increased.

The Statistical Center of Iran reported an increase in the point-to-point inflation rate for the group of food and beverages in November.

According to the report from this center, among food items, red meat with a point-to-point inflation of over 82% and then various types of fish with an inflation of 724% hold the record for the highest inflation rates in food items in the second month of autumn.

Point-to-point inflation refers to the percentage change in the price index compared to the same month of the previous year.

A point-to-point inflation rate of 392% for households in the country means that, on average, households spent 392% more than last November to purchase the same set of goods and services.
