The head of the traffic police: 510 people died in road accidents during the Nowruz travels

Teimour Hosseini, the head of the traffic police of Faraja, has stated that from the beginning of the Nowruz travels up to today, April 7th, 510 people have died in Iran as a result of road accidents.

The IRNA news agency has reported, quoting him, that Tehran, Khorasan, Isfahan, Fars, and Khuzestan are the five provinces with the highest number of accident casualties.

With approximately 17,000 deaths per year, Iran has one of the highest road accident statistics in the world.
