Police Explanation About Shooting on Bahonar Street in Tehran

At 11 a.m. today, February 21st, a report of a shooting on Bahonar Street near Ghods Square was received by Police Station 122.

A roughly 60-year-old man, covered in blood, who had been shot in the back of the head, was transferred to Shohada Tajrish Hospital.

By reviewing the CCTV footage of the incident location and the statement of the building’s caretaker, it was determined that the shooter was his brother, who shot him from behind with a handgun and ran over him several times with his Peugeot 207 vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Currently, the victim’s condition is critical, and the existing evidence indicates that family issues were the cause of this incident.

The shooter is being pursued by the police.
