Police Raid on Former Pakistani Prime Minister’s House

Pakistani police officers raided the residence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Lahore immediately after he left his home, breaking down the doors to enter.

Mr. Khan, who has been summoned to court on charges of financial corruption related to the state gifts case, is set to respond to the allegations. Police officers immediately inspected and searched his residence after he left, breaking down the entrance doors.

Khan condemned this attack, adding that the police action took place while his wife was alone at home. He also wrote on his Twitter page that Punjab police attacked my home where my wife Bushra Bibi is alone. On what legal basis have they done this? This is part of the London plan aimed at bringing back the fugitive Nawaz Sharif to power.

Images from Lahore have been released showing police forces breaking the gate of his residence with violence after facing resistance from Mr. Khan’s supporters and entering the home of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party leader.
