Police shot and killed a 14-year-old teenager

The Khorasan newspaper published in Mashhad reports that a 14-year-old teenager was shot and killed by police in Mashhad.

According to the newspaper’s report, the police fired during a chase of a teenager who was driving his father’s car without a license, and as a result of this shooting, one of the backseat passengers was killed.

The Khorasan report states that the car driver did not heed the police’s warnings and aerial shots to stop.

Based on this report, the military prosecutor of Khorasan Razavi province is pursuing the matter, and one of the first assessments is a specialized review of the weapon used.

In recent years, police shootings in the city at cars they suspect have resulted in the deaths of several people.

According to the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran, complaints against armed officers are referred to the military prosecutor’s office.
