Polish Company Accused of Selling Parts for Use in Iranian Drones

A Polish company accused of selling parts for use in Iranian drones

Polish Radio Zet reported that a state-owned company in the country has been selling and exporting parts that ultimately ended up in Iranian drones used in the Ukraine war.

This private radio station added on Thursday, July 28th, without citing its source, that prosecutors have been investigating the matter since 2022.

Reuters states that Polish prosecutors, in response to an email from the news agency, have confirmed that they are investigating the potential export of dual-use goods made in Poland but did not mention Iran.

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the Islamic Republic of Iran has provided Moscow with thousands of drones. These drones have been used to wear down Ukraine’s air defenses and strike its civilian infrastructure.

As a NATO member, Poland has been one of Ukraine’s main supporters, both under the previous nationalist government and during Donald Tusk’s leadership.
