Pope Francis’ Fascinating Trip to Bahrain
The leader of the world’s Catholics, in line with his policies of expanding Vatican relations and the Catholic Church’s religious structure with Islamic countries and strengthening support for Christian minorities in these countries, has made a fascinating and interesting trip to Bahrain.
Pope Francis’ visit to Bahrain, aside from the enthusiasm of the country’s Christian minority, was met with widespread support from the majority of the people. His remarks about peace, his strong condemnation of religious leaders supporting warmongering—which naturally referred to the leaders of the Russian churches and their alliance with Putin—and his comments on condemning governments’ support for terrorism were noteworthy. The King of Bahrain spoke in the presence of the Pope and emphasized peace and the end of war.
Since Pope Francis became the leader of the Vatican in 2013, he has traveled to more than ten Islamic countries.
