Prince Serin Sentenced to Imprisonment

Princess Sarin was sentenced to imprisonment

On Thursday, August 9th, the news outlet Emtedad, quoting Ali Sharifzadeh Ardekani, a lawyer and attorney for Sarin Badiyi, known as Princess Sarin, reported the issuance of a verdict in her case.

Mr. Sharifzadeh Ardekani told Emtedad that his client has been sentenced to 66 months in prison for inciting corruption and prostitution, 36 months for insulting sacred values, 7 months and 16 days for propaganda activities against the regime, and a 2-year ban on leaving the country and engaging in online activities.

Princess Sarin’s lawyer says she suffers from bipolar disorder, and for this reason, they will pursue the case through the Karaj Court of Appeals.

On March 26th this year, Mizan, the official news agency of the Islamic Republic’s judiciary, reported the arrest of Princess Sarin and described her as someone who insulted sacred values.
