Putin and Netanyahu Discussed Iran's Nuclear Issues

Putin and Netanyahu discussed Iran’s nuclear issues.

Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, held a phone conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, regarding Iran’s nuclear program and the territorial integrity of Syria.

At the same time, Russia’s representative in Vienna announced that removing excess enriched uranium from Iran is achievable through negotiations.

On Monday, July 28, Russia’s Tass news agency reported the phone conversation between Putin and Netanyahu, stating that the Russian President emphasized Moscow’s readiness to participate in finding a negotiated solution for Iran’s nuclear program issue, while also stressing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

Simultaneously with this phone conversation, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s representative in Vienna, said that the issue of Iran’s excess uranium can be resolved through dialogue and by setting aside the U.S.’s zero enrichment stance.

Ulyanov stated that the only requirement for this matter is for the U.S. to stop politicizing it, adding that all of this can be resolved through negotiation; it is only necessary for the U.S. to abandon its ideological and futile position on zero enrichment.
