Putin criticized the West’s role in Ukraine

The Russian president, during the official ceremony of receiving the credentials of Lynne Tracy, the new U.S. ambassador in Moscow, once again claimed that Washington is responsible for the conflicts in Ukraine.

On Wednesday, April 5th, Vladimir Putin said in this meeting, which was also broadcast on Russian television, that Russia-U.S. relations, on which global security and stability depend, are unfortunately going through a deep crisis.

He called the 2014 Ukraine protests, which led to the overthrow of the pro-Moscow government in Kyiv, a coup and added, ‘I cannot fail to mention that U.S. support for the Kyiv coup in 2014 ultimately led to the current Ukraine crisis.’
