Putin signed the strategic partnership law between Russia and Venezuela

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on Monday, October 27, 2025, that ratifies the strategic partnership agreement between Russia and Venezuela.

This agreement was previously signed on May 7, 2025, between Putin and Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in Moscow, and has now become law after being approved by the Duma and the Federation Council of Russia.

The aim of this agreement is to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, transportation, communications, education, and culture.

Some analysts have also pointed to the possibility of cooperation in the military field, although no precise details have been released in this regard.
