Putin will travel to China on Tuesday to meet with Xi Jinping.
The Kremlin announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will head to China on Tuesday for a two-day visit, a trip that takes place shortly after Donald Trump’s visit to Beijing ends.
According to a Kremlin statement, during this visit, Putin will discuss strategic cooperation and comprehensive partnership between Moscow and Beijing with Xi Jinping.
According to Russian officials, the two sides will also consult on important regional and international issues and will release a joint statement at the end of their talks.
During this visit, Putin is also scheduled to meet with Chinese Premier Li Qiang to discuss economic and trade cooperation.
China has become the largest buyer of Russia’s fossil fuels and Moscow’s most important economic partner following Western sanctions against Russia.
