Visit of Putin’s Special Assistant to Tehran
Iranian media say Igor Levitin, special assistant to Russian President Vladimir Putin, arrived in Tehran last night for a two-day visit.
According to reports, Mr. Levitin is scheduled to meet today with Mohammad Mokhber, the First Vice President of Iran, and Mehrdad Bazrpash, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development. Tomorrow, he will also meet with Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Tasnim news agency states that during his meetings, Igor Levitin will discuss the North-South Corridor rail project and Russia’s participation in it with officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
