North Korea today warned, in response to South Korea’s decision to hold joint spring military exercises with the United States, that South Korea, Japan, and the U.S. have crossed the red line, and this is unacceptable.

Pyongyang added that our nuclear weapons serve to maintain the balance of power in the region.

North Korea emphasized that the United States is dismantling international arms control mechanisms.
